As the General Manager for an international company, Dominique oversaw production, working closely with jewelers and miners of local gemstones to marketing jewelry collections internationally. During this experience, Dominique identified the need for innovative Amber and Larimar jewelry. The year 2006 marked the birth of the brand dominique calderon ® Caribbean Jewelry: a new jewelry concept based on international quality standards and a classic, contemporary, and versatile design.

The excellent knowledge of the design, production, and marketing of jewelry has led Dominique to consultancy assignments with jewelers internationally, including a collaboration with the GTZ NaWi Program for Sustainable Economic Promotion in North Afghanistan. During the jewelry sector-focused assignment of three weeks, Dominique conducted training sessions for leading jewelry producers and other consultants for gemstone processing and jewelry manufacture.
